Claire Rudy Foster is a queer, nonbinary trans award-winning writer whose work appears or is forthcoming in The New York Times, NPR, McSweeney's, Black Static, and many other places. Foster's short story collection Shine of the Ever (Interlude Press, 2019) was selected for the Over the Rainbow ALA Longlist and named by O: The Oprah Magazine as one of the best LGBTQ books of the year. They live in Portland, Oregon.
