Sydney Urbanek is a Toronto-based writer on movies, music videos, and things in between. She has an MA in Cinema Studies from the University of Toronto, where her thesis was largely about Jonas Åkerlund’s collaborations with Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and Madonna. She also writes a music video newsletter called Mononym Mythology.
